These are a group of climbing crags clustered on the hillside below the South Chinese Mountain. They are the most accessible and thus some of the more popular crags on Quadra Island.

Getting There

The South Peak Crags can be reached by a climbers' path that heads up the hillside off the Beech's Mountain Trail just 150m west of the main parking lot.

Alternatively the East Wall can be reached by following the Chinese Mountains South Peak trail up to a ridge and then leaving the trail to the left and following the climbers' path to the base. This path also links to the path coming up from the Beech's Mountain trail.

Gain a rib and face to a small alcove. Climb face to a small bulge. Pull over the bulge to two very shallow, stepped, left-facing corners....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
