BETA PHOTO: follow ramp up to the point top out

the crux again is about half way through the climb, follow the ramp up to the point go straight up from there the crack is off.

This is in between crack the whip and Vamanavataram big wall with tiny crimpy holds all the way. there is a possible variation just to the right with a few side pulls.

pads + pads there is a boulder laying in the LZ carefule not to twist an ankle.

Couple comments-

To my knowledge this route is not named 'snuckles', when I climbed it in 2005 is was not called this.

The problem is apprx 12 feet tall, look at the pics.

I would grade at v2.

This climb is by no means 'R'. 'R' is trad nomenclature, this is a 12 ft tall boulder.

My apologies Big Jim. I am aware that these boulders have probably been climbed into submission many times over. Although I haven't ever found any information regarding names or grades on any websites. I would rather have these problems with the original names and grades. Would you happen to have any of this information? I am aware that the safety rating is for trad climbing. I simply wanted other climbers to know that the landing zone is not the best and would most likely result in an injury. As far as Snuckles goes, I am not sure that we are talking about the same problem.

Do you live in EC? Maybe we could get together sometime and climb.

I lived in EC growing up. I now live in the twin cities. I have lots of family in that area so i frequent often. Ill shoot you a PM next time.

As far as names go, Ive asked many of the old timers about this area and I never got much feedback. We called it the BFB, Big Falls Boulder or Big F'n Boulder. There are a few good lines at this location. There are some choice boulder problems with water landings as well! Out near the middle of the river.

I started climbing this area in 04-05 with my pal penrodjm. I never put anything on the net to keep on the DL as long as possible. We sent everything we could climb but 2-3 lines on the tallest face. Most the climbing is short and easy (v2 and under).

So, I'm thinking that this route and Snuckles have the same start, with the difference being that, Snuckles doesn't use the two jugs on the face. I have been leaving off the lower, left ramp completely, instead using the slots on the right face and a high crimp to gain the rail. Also, is the undercling near the top on?
