Snake den is a large RIDEM management area. Historically, climbing has been in the northern portion of the area, but recently, new boulders have been found in the southern portion of the park.

Getting There

From Route 295, take Route 6 west. The Belfield boulders are down Belfield Road, a side road off of Route 6.

Center V4 6B  Rhode Island : Snake Den : ... : Belfield Roof
Start sitting under the middle of the roof, dyno left hand out to nose and climb straight up the nose. Slightly contrived as you could move right to easier climbing to avoid the dyno. #2 on the beta photo....[more]   Browse More Classics in Rhode Island

Joe, any more information for this area? I was thinking of taking a run up to check it out, especially if there is more than what you have listed here.

Hmm, Joe's holding out. There must be something he is hiding then. I'll have to check it out now.

Sorry Mark, missed this. There is definitely more out there. There is a lot or rock between the Bellfield boulder and the Venom boulder including a pretty good size cliff (close to the power lines).

I climbed at this cliff recently. Not exactly a destination but a few fun lines. One leadable crack. It needs some cleaning and traffic.

Brian, glad you found it and that there were a few good routes on it. Looked like there would be...
