Location
park at or near the Silvertip Mountain Center. Jay the proprieter is a wealth of local knowledge. and the shop is well outfitted too.
walk west on the highway for 1/4 mile, and turn right. follow the ravine. or better yet: ski thru the parking lot of the closed motel, and angle NW thru the spruce glades, and left of the burned area.
stay to the RIGHT of the drainage. the last 200 yards may be a bit tricky for avi danger with a fresh dump.
ski or snowshoes are compulsory. approach time = 30-50 minutes. depends on whether you're breaking trail or not.
