These things are ugly, shiny and dangling right on the face. Has this seam ever been climbed?

How tall is that thing? Looks like it should be a boulder problem, but it's hard to tell sometimes from photographs.

+\- 20ft I've seen chalk on the bottom in the past but it looks like it would be reallllly hard.

For highball TR anchors, I personally would have put them over the edge out of sight so a couple of shoulder slings would have the rope running cleanly, especially if it's a high non climber traffic area. I would think you would want to top that out anyway. Two Wave bolts over the lip work well as long as they are not going to interfere with somebody mantling the topout.

They're definitely unsightly and in a very highly trafficked area both by city(?) employees and by hikers to the esteemed potatoe chip rock(not that they're doing anything but shitting on climbing trails).

Shiny almost chrome like hangers are becoming increasingly popular. It's unfortunate that many route developers haven't evolved enough to recognize that changes need to be made for everyone's enjoyment and lower profile.

Hardware and ethics change, so please do us a favor and PRE-paint unsightly hangers....this includes areas that weren't traditionally calling for such. The luster of your eye may be bad-a*s-sh*t but to the rest of us... it's just an eyesore.

Just leave me to rabble-rouse, Adam! But seriously, this thing looks gnar, know the name? If there is one..

I think it's on the same switchback as Jaws on the right side just bit lower on the hill

Seems the anchors would be better placed on the right side of the seam. You have to have somewhere to practice aid.

Agreed. I wasn't talking sh*t, just stating the obvious.

Look.

If you guys want me to, I'll lay on top of that boulder and punch the bolts until they come out.

Just say the word. I'm tough.

That's not my pic, hope to get up and check it out soon. Supposedly hands to sloppy fists, and steep.

Didn't get the sit start on that finger crack - my competent compadre did and says it's "Woodson 10c."
