I have been researching this all evening because I was passing through Shaver from the Kaiser this weekend and decided to go bouldering hunting before the weekend was over. I found very little bouldering opportunities along the right side (from parking lot) of the beach line, with some just inside the forest. I kept my optimism and was really hoping for a beachside boulder.
Thats when I looked out about 50 feet into the water and saw a boulder with a beautiful line. It looked doable by climbing up the north side, traversing the west, and top out on the south. I hiked the shorts up and with great joy I was able to put the problem together. It felt V4 so I would probably grade it V3.
So with all that I am asking if anyone has any knowledge to this boulder at all? It was obvious that people play near the boulder in the water due to rocks under the water looking like they have been stepped on and the north side is an easy top out spot. I saw no evidence of prior climbing on the traverse itself and was hoping you guys could help shed some light.
Basically ... did I FA this particular line or am I just wishful thinking ....??
