BETA PHOTO: Steven Joseph becoming a secret samurai.

Description

Start low left on good flake. Make your way up and right via heels, pinches, and slopers till you gain a good jug to top out.

Protection

Pads and a good spotter. Landing is intimidating. Climb also seems like the best down climb.

Softest "V6" in JTree? Regardless, the movement and position are great so if you can pull V3s in the Park, this one should feel no harder. With the right foot placements, the potential fall off the edge never becomes an issue. Downclimbing/jumping from the top may be the crux...

Does anyone know if a hold next to the pinch low and to the right broke? I was trying to figure out the beta and watched some videos after a few session and it looks like people are using a hold that is no longer there. Or it might be because V6 is at my limit. haha.

In the photo where the guys right hand is, I believe that hold is gone.

According to my friend, a solid v4 climber, he and a whole group flashed this one last year. Immediately after the train of sends, another other group showed up and broke some (good) right hand hold. We both did it yesterday using a weird pinch/crimp and thought 4 seems reasonable but could be 3 for Josh. Saw the new guide and they put it at 4, so there ya go. And honestly not really Pg13 because the crux is low and easily made safe with a pad/spotter.

There has been a few breaks on this rig since I did it in 2015 and seemed like V3 when beta was locked down. Only one hard move. Great climbing though for how small it is. Big jump from the top too.
