Description

Seclusion 5.7 climb crack in the lower left of the face for 15 feet then step right and climb the flaring crack to the end.

--Variation 5.8 climb the face to the right of the flaring crack.
--Variation 5.10- climb the face to the left of the flaring crack.

Location

Seclusion and Sickle's Edge prow are visible from the River Trail after the Juliet's Balcony area. Seclusion is the closest upriver facing climb (directly in front of the distinctive prow as seen from the trail) split by a flaring crack.

Protection

Boulders and trees abound for top rope anchors. If you wish to set a directional above the 5.10- variation there are two pockets which accept brown and pink tricams respectively.

The two variations on the faces on either side of the seclusion crack are very interesting and definitely worth testing out. The slab is very different than much of the rock I've climbed at Great Falls, it's actually more textured and less greasy (your feet stick!). The 5.10- variation is challenging for footwork but lots of fun. Definitely set a directional to give it a go.
