Description Suggest change

This area faces northeast so it gets very little sun making for very reliable ice throughout the season. Located down the valley about half a mile from the main lookoff on the west side of the canyon.

Getting There Suggest change

The easiest way to access this area is to walk from the McCumber Brook (Fundy Trail Parkway) Gate to the Walton Glen Lookout trail. About 400 meters before you reach the lookout you will see a slight open area on the right (south). This is just before a blue Protected Wilderness Area sign. Follow this open area heading south east and soon you should see some yellow flagging tape. This is the trail. Follow this until you reach a fork. Take the trail on the left at the fork. Follow this to a stream and then follow the stream to the cliff edge. If you rappel from the tree close to the cliff edge at the stream you can safely reach the ground in one rappel with a 70 meter rope if you build an anchor rather than putting your rope around the tree. Two rappels are recommended as it would still be a rope stretcher even with the anchor.  There are more trees to rap off on a ledge about 15 meters below.
