Scooter Trash Wall Rock Climbing

The Scooter Trash Wall is on the west side of the same rock as The Training Ground. Tod Anderson calls this rock The Saddlehorn in "Rampart Range Rocks". The cliff faces west so it is shady in the morning and sunny in the afternoon. The routes here are short but are quality lines on well featured rock.
Follow the directions to The Training Ground, but once you are on the level ground at the pass, head to the right towards the west side of the rock (The Training ground is to your left). Stay close to the rock and descend into a corridor/chimney where you will find the routes.

This is currently the second to furthest left bolted route at Scooter Trash Wall. The route starts in the base of a gully/chasm up a featured face with orange, yellow, and green lichen. This climb can be a heady lead due to the proximity of the back wall, but the falls are clean. Enjoy sustained crimps, sidepulls, and pinches to the top.If you want, you can scramble to the top of the back wall and eye all of the moves/holds for the route....[more] Browse More Classics in CO
