Looking towards the summit of Scawfell Pike 3210' ...


The crown jewel crags of the Lake District.The mountain itself Scawfell Pike is Britain's highest mountain (3210') and the rock faces imposing and steep are some of the biggest .There are a massive amount of routes of all grades to climb on these crags providing one has the luck of good weather.

Getting There 

The easiest walk is from the Wasdale Valley ,about 11/2 hours from Borrowdale about two hours or more.

I think the conventional spelling would be Scafell (or Sca Fell), although the pronunciation is closer to how you'd say Scaw Fell
