This is a nice little rhyolite sport crag in a rugged alpine setting. The crag is west facing and gets afternoon sun. Climbs range from 5.8 to 5.12 and are up to 90 feet tall. 12 draws, 60m rope.

Getting There

Drive past Eureka until you reach a large pullout on the right, above a gorge, directly across the valley from the Stairway to Heaven? ice climb. The crag is looker's left of Stairway?. Hike down the steep road embankment, cross the creek, and hike up an old grade that diagonals right toward the crag. 20 minutes.

The Silverton million dollar highway guide shows a 5.8 at the far right side of the crag. The lower hangers have been removed on this route, so the warm-ups are now one of the 10a's. Some anchors have webbing which need replaced or chains added.
