All day shade as there are tall trees around. The hike is less than 5 minutes and there is a large creek with a waterfall and a swimming pool underneath it.

Getting There

About 5 miles north of Ragged Point, pull off when the switchbacks go inland and park in the huge parking area. It is usually packed on weekends, but during the week you might see only a few other parties.

Completely worthwhile area. Fantastic hang, fantastic swimming, and possibility for some fantastic problems. Definitely draws a bevy of people, so don't expect tranquility. I wouldn't call it a destination solely for climbing, but it's good fun to pack a picnic, beat the heat in the swimming holes, and climb the odd problem.
