Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

This seldom visited portion of Saddle Rocks is south-facing and sunny with a handful of routes and can be a fun escape for a few hours close to the car.

Getting There

Approach as for Saddle Rocks then cut right near the base following a rough trail which circles around to the south as you work uphill through boulders. Plan on 15-20 minutes from the parking area at Hall of Horrors.
