  • Description

Climb the left-facing overlap/crack just right of the bolted line for Rattlesnake Airline. Undercling/layback the overlap using positive, slabby feet forty feet or so to a "roof". After this, continue up four well-placed bolts (shared with Rattlesnake Airline) to the rap anchors.

From Roshambo, go climber's right on the ledge about 30 feet--around the ramp. Starts to the right of and below bolted line, Rattlesnake Airline.

Takes nuts well and plenty small to finger size cams. Small selection .75-2 useful. Then 4 bolts. Extendable draws will reduce rope drag.

Just did this route today and thought I'd add it to MP. Feel free to edit or suggest edits. We really just used it as an easy means to get to the top of the crag and walk off, rather than hiking back up and around, but I found the climb to be surprisingly enjoyable. I lead it onsight with a large and cumbersome backpack and it was still easy and pretty enjoyable.

The FA was done before the bolts were put in. On the FA, Chris said, "I'm in the 8,000 meter zone". I took that to mean the death zone. He gave me the go-ahead to add the bolts to add to the fun of the area. I did so by putting in Rattlesnake Airline ground-up. Once in a while climbing is more about having fun and sharing an experience than trying to prove yourself.
