Description

Though not the biggest area, Roadside offers a bunch of excellent and historically significant boulder problems. To name a few - Woody's Arete (V3) and Sit (V5), Mountaineer's Route (V5), and Green Block Test Piece (V5)

Getting There

From the entrance to the forest, drive along the road until you reach a large parking lot (continuing straight the whole way.) Park on the left next to the kiosk and head down the trail. If you reach the concession stand, you went too far.

Start as far back as you can on jugs and follow the flake system out the roof to the lip. Make a long move and finish with a topout. Not dabbing is definitely one of the cruxes....[more]   Browse More Classics in West Virginia
