BETA PHOTO: Rise Over Run or Texas Limestone Adventure Climb

A great unique climb that starts at the river and finishes beneath the power pole. Start is very difficult, but with two close bolts to assist ascent if necessary. The rest of the climb uses good holds and has a substantial rest section in the middle if needed.

Found on Lower Wall, beneath the power pole rectangle frame on the South Rim Wall.

11 bolts, 2 top anchors

This route is called 'Texas Limestone Adventure Climb' in Camp Eagle's route guide. Absolutely awesome climbing! Especially through bolts 8, 9 and 10!

Couldn't stop smiling through the second half. Best route we did on first visit to Eagle Creek. Above the first two bolts, the route is probably .10a/b. The first moves are NOT in the .10 range, probably at least .11a, if not harder (I was guessing V4, but I also aided past them.) Top it out and belay from fixed anchors under the "swing/power pole."

Aiding over the crux first two moves can be as hard for the follower as it was for the leader. I needed my PAS to make it possible.

Also known as Texas Limestone Adventure climb. In my opinion the best climb at camp. Great for practicing multi pitch as well.
