The setting for this whole area is gorgeous and the Rhodo Wall is no exception. Blooming pink and white Mountain Laurels and Rhododendron along with enchanted-looking alcoves and boulders set the ambiance for this area to be link none other.

This wall is big, Highball, and full of moderate lines and a few tough ones. Be sure to have some pads to protect this one

Getting There

Walk around to the right, opting not to go through the "squeeze" feature and you will find this wall on the right side of the trail.

Long-dron V6 7A  Virginia : Grayson Highlands State Par... : ... : Rhododendron Wall
Sketchy and great. If you like highball lines and have the pads, do this one for sure.On the left portion of the Rhodo Wall look for the low ledge for feet and figure out small hands and sidepulls that lead up to feint crimps and tiny pocket dimples. Set up for long moves that open the path to the runnel at the top. This highest point on the line before the jug up top is crux, so have pads!...[more]   Browse More Classics in Virginia
