(b) Red Tail Group Rock Climbing
The northern side of Upper Red Tail wall. The cli...
One of the most popular areas at Skaha, both because of its proximity to the parking lot and the variety of easier routes it showcases. The Redtail Group has a handful of different areas with quality climbing, mostly sport but some trad as well.
The climbing areas here all face the sun most of the day but the walls on the lower half are protected a bit with trees. There is usually a nice breeze moving through Shady Valley all day.
After passing The Fortress on the main trail from the lower parking lot, you can turn left up the hill to reach Lower Redtail and eventually Upper Redtail, or continue down low to reach Another Buttress. All the crags will be on your left and ar hard to miss.
There are many known routes in this area that are missing on Mountain Project. On each crag's page, there is a list of its routes that are missing on Mountain Project but described in the guidebook.
Please contribute to the Skaha Mountain Project page by taking the time to add these missing routes if you've climbed them!

The Dream is an outstanding albeit far too short traditional climb. Combine with a route on the Fortress for a psuedo-multipitch route. I recommend Et Tu Brutus to keep it all traditional, and all the same grade.Climb the corner, then bypass the two roofs on the left.
