One of the best moderate climbs at Banks Lake. Climb up a protruding and obvious arete just left of Red Rocket.

The La Belle guide calls this Bono, the Bland guide calls this Red Arete (but Marty Bland admits he made up many of the names for this area because locals wouldn't share the info with him). Both guides give it a 5.8 rating.

It is a good idea to bring a few small cams and a 2" cam to supplement the bolts in places. This route is mostly well-bolted, but there are a couple of spots where supplemental gear is nice.

No gear needed. Really well bolted like all the other sport climbs at this crag.

Intellectual moves up a nice arête. No individual move is harder than 5.8 but several one after another makes this route no gimme at the grade.

Anybody know the name and grade of the bolted route just to the right of The Red Arete/Bono that shares its anchors? I think it's Project #15 in the Bland Guide.
