  • No climbing is allowed in this nature preserve.
  • Quincy and at least parts of rattlesnake are state natural areas and thus closes to climbing. Please respect the ban.

  • Description

Quincy is a cool little area with high quality problems. There isn't a lot of problems here, but what's there is classic and worth the trip. Established by Paul Jones, The Main boulder is the big attraction, but other fun climbs can be found in the area.

    Getting There

Just off 16th Ct in Adams Cty. See directions on Central Sandstone page.

This is a nature preserve and the landowners do not allow climbing. Do not climb there. See the main Central Sandstone page to link to the Quincy Preserve web site. Jonathan Williams

Wow. That would be great (provided the climbing ban goes away too). Good catch Tony.

It looks like the DNR and the Nature Conservancy now are joint owners of Quincy Preserve. It's now got State Natural Area designation and no climbing is allowed still.

A local resident stated there are black bears around Quincy bluff. Climbing still prohibited due to being a state nature area.
