A good mix of fun over hung low ball climbing on one side , a nice arête in the middle, and a high ball wall on the other side. There has always been chalk here and there on this wall but top outs were prevented by a couple big fallen trees hanging over and a very thick layer of moss + 4" top soil making top out holds non existent. Work has recently been done to remove fallen trees, scrub moss , and remove soil but there is still quite a bit of cleaning and scrubbing to be done before this becomes quality climbing.

Crux is reaching over the bulge to good holds. May be easier for taller climbers! Not sure if it is 4 star worthy but it is really fun once you figure out the beta....[more]   Browse More Classics in Iowa

I spent some more time cleaning out the deep layer of soil on most of the left side of the boulder, cleaned the top out of the prow ( removed multiple dead fallen trees, thorn bushes, mud etc) . Still needs more work done but you can now find some great holds on the lip not filled with mud .
