Large granite Boulders with several problem that can top out.
An archeological dig conducted by Luis Chanlatte and Yvonne Narganes in 1990 uncovered the bones of a man who lived on Vieques almost 4,000 years ago. The excavation took place at Puerto Ferro on the south coast of Vieques, a site characterized by huge stone boulders.

Unknown V6 7A  North America : Puerto Rico : ... : Hombre de Puerto Ferro
start matched on a bad edge with low feet. Move up right to a good edge then do a challenging rock over move to gain the upper slab.I am unsure of the name of this problem or if there was an ascent before mine. Any info would be great. Either way this problem has great movement over great stone. Enjoy!...[more]   Browse More Classics in International

On my way from the ferry to Esperanza to climb here, the cab driver told me how many of the island residents view this as a sacred site due to the old remains found here. I was told that if someone from the island were to see you climbing on the boulders, they would see it as a disrespect of their heritage. Please keep in mind the cultural significance of this area if you come to Vieques, and find places to climb along the shore as opposed to here.
