This is a striking tower overlooking the Dolores River. The rock is good sandstone.

Getting There

Park under the tower about 12.5 miles from the paved road. This is about 1/2 mile before the boat launch. Look for a boulder with an obvious hand crack about 50' in from the road.

The trail is about 50' left of this boulder - it is well cairned. The approach takes about 1/2 hour.

Weather station 16.5 miles from here

This is a fine route on a fine tower - a must do for those who appreciate a good summit.Although generously bolted, this isn't a sport climb. Trad gear and skills are needed!Pitch 1: start from a bolted anchor at the saddle on the north side. Follow two bolts up and step right (big air!!) into a crack / corner. Climb this to a ledge, up a step to another ledge (fixed nut), past the rap anchor on the ...[more]   Browse More Classics in Colorado

Looks like a lot of new bolted routes here extending from Pyscho north to the other towers. Any descriptions/grades available? We did a number of them. The bolts on the arete left of Psycho Tower should probably have been painted (shiny from the road), but that one looks cool.
