Seasonal Raptor Closures MORE INFO >>>

Description

Start 25 feet left of Mineral Museum on easy ground for 2 bolts. From here, you will reach a steep slab with the first crux on small holds to get established under the roof. Pull the surprisingly easy roof, and continue up fun steep terrain for around 3 bolts to the upper crux in a tricky slab section right before the chains. This has very fun, varied movement and is a very enjoyable 10. Be careful for loose rock and lichen as this route is still cleaning up.

Please add details if this is your route. It is just there, and I thought it was fun, so I added it here.

Location

It is 25 feet left of Mineral Museum and the farthest left route at Crystal Tower.

Protection

11 bolts to chains.

Maybe I was having a high gravity day, but when I led this I bailed left at the first crux (under the roof), then bailed right at the second crux (before the anchor). I toproped both sections again when I was getting lowered, and I thought both were hard as nails if you follow close to the bolt line. I'm no slab master, but I was pulling on some tiny edges to get through both sections, not holds I would expect to pull on a 5.10. Of course, someone will probably come along and tell me it's really a 5.9+.
