A long standing, beautiful line has drawn the attention of many. Of which three climbers have latched the first move, no links beyond. With any luck this line will go down in the very near future.

Classics of the Area are Ape Rage, The Brain, ZugZwang, Pennsylvannia Ed, Intension, Jump Start, The Globe and several other unnamed easier lines.

Getting There

From the trail up to the Iceberg, turn right and head past the right end of the pocekt boulder. Look for Carins that lead through the Talus/Small Stream to the hill below Savory Wall. The trail turns right along the hill and first brings you to the Ape Rage Boulder. After passing Ape Rage you will see the project boulder and the Brain Boulder beyond that.

A throw to a shallow dish out left and a crux tall topout finish this route. This route still awaits a second ascent, 10 years later!...[more]   Browse More Classics in West Virginia
