Poverty Gulch.

Flowing northeast from the Cache la Poudre Wilderness, the Poverty Gulch picks up good deal of moisture and delivers it to the river. This entry refers to the route that diverts from the main stream up a steep walled gully. The stream itself can contain some interesting adventures with the main waterfall being the highlight (WI2-3). Be careful to ensure you can get down, and don't fall into the stream if you venture up that way.

The gully coming from the west contains essentially two short pitches: a vertical ice step and a cascade flow. This climb is great fun and makes for a real nice solo outing.

It is located on the south side of the river in the Narrows, after the road takes a blind right turn heading west. There is a pulloff on the north side of the road. Access is best with a thick layer of ice above the river.

Screws, there is not much rock gear if any.
