Three star line.

Description

Start sitting on the awkward pointy rock at the base with your left hand on the arete and your right hand on a crimp sidepull and a good low foot. Use fancy footwork to bump the left hand up the arete and to gain an incut crimp with the right hand. All of this leads to a committing deadpoint/dyno to the flat lip. A few more moves lead to a rock over mantle typical of most of the problems on this side of the boulder.

Great rock, fantastic movement and a cool finish make this problem full value!

While the pointy rock is awkward and potentially dangerous, it's not really an issue for any move except latching the incut crimp with the right hand. Still, be safe!

Location

Located to the right of 'Lost At Sea'. This problem shares an arete with that problem, but this line climbs the right side of the arete.

Protection

A couple of pads are ideal. Maybe something to cover the awkward pointy rock.

Yah, it's pretty cool. The only detriment is the annoying rock at the base.

I'm sure it's been done before, as have most of the climbs on these boulders.

Thanks goes out to whoever did the cleaning on it. I didn't lift a brush. All the cleaning was already done. So, perhaps Bryce or someone else?

Matt and I cleaned it off a bit at the top. There was a little moss on the crimp over the lip so Matt scrubbed that and the lip a bit with a brush. It's such a good problem not to have it cleaned up.

This problem is AMAZING. Wish that pointy rock wasn't there, few more moves could be done. SO good, so fun.

Looking at the new Pawtuckaway guidebook, this problem is listed as 'Poseidon'

Sweet, thanks Ian. I knew it had been done before, but didn't know the name as I have an older version of that guidebook. I figured someone would chime in with a name/some info. I'll update the info.

An absolutely awesome climb with suberb movement! The start is a little tricky setting yourself low and avoiding the rock at the base, but it works.

I agree this thing is a ton of fun. That dyno to the lip is epic.
