The hills, just west of the tiny town of Podlesice, are home to many fun areas. Although still scattered around, these areas are right in the heart of the Jura and contain a pretty high concentration of good routes.

There is plenty of good camping in town. The Ostaniec hotel would make a perfect base camp since you can hike to many of the areas right from the hotel.

Getting There

About 25 miles from Krakow, the town of Podlesice is located on HWY 792 in between the bigger towns of Zarki (to the west) and Krczyce (to the east). If you head west on the 792 out of Podlesice an obvious parking area/store will appear on the left. This parking is central to many areas. It is part of a nature preserve and they charge a small day use fee. If for some reason you became a local you can get an annual pass for not much more...

Then follow bolts as you balance your way up a rounded arete with sometimes polished foot holds to the top....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
