Usually shady. The rock(Classic RC Limestone) is super solid with no choss as far as i've seen. Not many people climb this boulder... Sadly.

Getting There

Hike to the Kitchen(green gate), after that the trails goes right. Follow it. After a bit the trail goes left. After that look down into the riverbed. Once you see a trail leading into the riverbed take it and head upstream until you see the boulder on your right.

A good landmark to know when to turn off the trail is to look for a large boulder sitting to the left of the trail about a 4 minute walk past the kitchen. Then it is a few yards downstream from this boulder. This is a very nice boulder by Rock Canyon's standards.

This boulder took me a while to find. The beta photo kind of threw me off because it looks like it's on the left side of the river. It's kind of hidden and you can't really see it from the trail. On the right side of the river bed. Hopefully this will help others find it. I enjoyed climbing there, pretty fun bouldering.
