Small but good boulder. Two lines exist on this boulder. One being the great Plugged Nickel V5. There is also a variation that goes at V3. Just stick with the V5. The block itself reassembles a hatchet in a way. It is right before the main area with Single Carot, Violin and Southern Discomfort.

Getting There

Head towards the main area. This block lies right behind the Single Carot Boulder.

Plugged Nickel V5 6C  South Dakota : Rapid City Area : ... : Plugged Nickel Boulder
This boulder is low-lying and stands roughly twelve feet tall or less very close to Southern Discomfort, Slot Machine, and Violins. Start in a "cave" with a heel and hand on a bulge, left hand on the face on a sloper. Move with right hand up to pockets on face. V5 finish is up and left on a sloper, V3 finish is to the arete on the right. Very powerful problem and a load of fun. Also, there are variations to this problem which make it harder or easier (like most things in the Rock Maze)....[more]   Browse More Classics in South Dakota
