Plate issues in my left arm....

Hello everyone,

So in June of 2011 I unfortunately broke my arm pretty severely. I had a compound fracture of my ulna and radius and also broke my wrist which forced the doctor to put a plate on both bones with 6 screws in each. Ive been able to climb since the fall of 2011 which was about 6 months after the accident and have gradually built up more strength. On easy climbs, my arm doesn't bug me at all. However, when I boulder hard in the gym or climb what is hard for me on sport, I feel alot of pain in my left arm. I can feel what seems to be the screws putting stress on my bone. Ive grown a little bit since then, but not enough to cause growing pains between the screws and plates. Has anyone out there ever had this happen and if you have, did you get the plates removed? If so, I would love to hear about your experience and see if it did make the problem go away. I would assume it would help to have them taken out, but I guess I would just like to know if it would be worth it. Anyways, I'll ask my doctor but I thought I'd go to the world of MP first haha.

Thanks,
Taylor
