Pipe Creek Beach is the first access to the Colorado River available to hikers, runners, and those riding mules down the Bright Angel Trail from Grand Canyon Village and the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Pipe Creek Beach is a popular pull out for rafters on the Colorado River and hikers wanting to reach the river. It is 7.5 miles down the Bright Angel Trail and 1.5 miles from Phantom Ranch. It is a broad sandy beach downstream from the River Rest House and toilet facilities at the mouth of Pipe Creek.
Descend the Bright Angel Trail 7.5 miles from the south rim of the Grand Canyon from the vicinity of the Kolb Studio.

The Electron Shuffle traverses left to right or right to left. From the left begin at the fractured arête and pull up onto the wall on large fractured sloping handholds. Continue working right on sloping handholds and incuts, with deminishing footholds.
