From southside of Taos - Drive south on NM 68 to the town of Pilar (~15 miles). Turn right on NM 570 and drive 3.1 miles to Petaca Campground. The boulders can be seen from the road and campground. They are located south and across from the street from the campground.

As of writing this (9/20) Petaca Campground is either abandoned or under construction. Regardless it no longer appears on google maps. The following link is a pin to the old entrance and a functional parking spot: goo.gl/maps/wnYXtAZdLbpXoRYm7
