I found myself refreshing the home page sometimes just to get a pretty new photo. So I did the obvious: added a little link that just cycles through a bunch of photos without refreshing the whole page.

Right now, it goes through 30 photos, then starts to repeat.

Nice Nick. Hey, do you have code that would allow me to embed the photo of the moment in my website? I've seen a MP "featured route" embeded on climbing magazine's webiste. eliclimbs

eliclimbs, the MP "featured route" you see on climbing.com or alpinist.com are due to partnership agreements with those sites. In general, all MP material (including photos) is copyrighted and cannot be shown on other sites.

Sorry.

Nick I assume I still retain rights to my photos I post here or do I loose that once I post? I ask because some of my photos I may want to copyright in the future or perhaps I post a pic taken of me by a friend who may want to or has already copyrighted the photo. Joshua Balke

Joshua, read the Terms Of Use (link at bottom of every page) and make sure you're comfortable. To paraphrase: you do retain the copyright, but you are granting MP a very broad right to publish it in basically any form. In practice, you can pull the image if you want at any time. Nick Wilder
