2017 Seasonal Raptor Closure: UTW from waterfall to Golden Arch MORE INFO >>>

Description

Climb Phone Calls from the Dead, clip and pull the bolt above the anchor and when you can grab a hold, get back to free climbing. Climb into the stem box (crux) with powerful stemming and crimping. This is followed by less technical but off balance climbing in a shallow corner. Finish at the Heart of the Country anchor.

This can be easily TR'd from the HOTC anchor.

Location

Extension of Phone Calls from the Dead.

Protection

3 bolts, small wires and small cams to fingers to supplement bolts.

I'm claiming the FA, but it's possible that it's been led before. If someone knows otherwise, let me know so I can give credit where it's due. It's been TR'd many times I'm sure.

I think the crux may be height dependent. Also, the A0 is an open project. It was clearly beyond my abilities while the climbing past the A0 was barely within.

Get on it and post your thoughts.

Alright Doug, great job!

I'll give it a try next time I'm over there. I don't know of anyone who had led that, and the first time I even heard of a TR of the upper part was upon reading Ryan's comment on the regular Phone Calls page.

Awesome. That one has been there just waiting for someone to do it.
