Pear and Apple (Bouldering) Rock Climbing
The view of Pear and Apple from the base of Pride ...
Many of the problems are at the base of Pear and Apple in the large boulder field but some of the boulders are well before it just as you get into the woods that lead up to Pear and Apple.
A group of us sort of took this area by storm and put up a lot of problems. Some of them might have been done well before us by some of the older guys. I listed the FA's as our own but if you see one that was done already just send me a message and I'll gladly change it.
Park at the sunset parking area and take the same trail that leads to basically all the climbing in Charon's Garden. Take the trail left when you reach the first creek crossing and follow it until you see the large boulder shaped like an A.

To downclimb walk accross the boulder to a tree and shimmy on over and down to the ground. ...[more] Browse More Classics in Oklahoma

Is this area located off of the Elk Mountain Trail or the Charon's Garden Trail?

The Pear and Apple Bouldering is located off of the Charon's Garden Trail. The trail head starts in the Sunset Picnic Area. When you get on the trail you'll walk through some woods and after a couple minutes it will come to a creekbed. Take the trail left RIGHT BEFORE the creekbed, if you've gone into or past the creek, you're going the wrong way. Hike the trail about 15 more minutes and you'll find yourself at a clearing where Guardian Boulder is.
