A map of the approach. Your path will be in blue. ...

Check in with the rangers at the nature center every time you go bouldering. DO NOT GO ON THE ACTUAL MOUNTAIN MORE INFO >>>

Description

Medium sized granite bouldering field. The rock is much easier on the hands than Boat Rock, but only a small portion of the boulders on/near Panola are open for climbing. If more bouldering is eventually opened up, there will be significantly more bouldering on the nearby trails than at Boat Rock. A good combination of slabby climbs, overhung routes, and a little bit of crack climbing.

Please submit route information if you have it! I haven't been able to find any FAs or route names, but I know that people have been sending climbs in this area for a couple of years now.

Getting There

Talk to the rangers at the nature center (address is 2600 Highway 155, SW, Stockbridge, GA 30281) for directions. They are very explicit about wanting you to visit them before doing any bouldering or visiting the bouldering area!
