$3 gets you parking at the Chattahoochee Rec Area. There are a ton of smaller rock formations that are great for running laps, practicing placing protection and as a alternative to the gym. I've just started exploring these areas below the Overlook Deck, so more routes to come.

Getting There

Park at either the Whitewater Creek trail or East Palisades trail entrances off of Indian Trail NW. Park in the pull-offs on the side of the road before the main parking area to access the trail head(s). Either trailhead works, since they connect down the hill. Follow the posted route maps/waypoint maps on the trail toward EP16.

Crimpy little tower. Stick to the face of the tower as best you can, but use the arete if you must. Plenty of little foot ledges for rest if need be, but it's a fun little route up the little spire, needle thingy....[more]   Browse More Classics in Georgia
