OB Slab is a nice area to escape the crowds. None of the routes are particularly worth writing home about, but one can potentially spend a fun half day here. Good for beginner groups. Around the corner to the left, Oh Pinyon Crack
is a fun, short hand crack.
Park at the "Key's Corner" Boyscout Trailhead, 1/2 mile east of Trashcan Rock (on your left at a wide right turn if you are driving from town). Head north along trail as for Ellsmere Island and Cool Dome. Cut east (Cool Dome will be to your left) to a sunny slab.

In between Look Mom No Sweat and Look Mom No Hands is a face climb that can be done on top rope. I'm sure many have done this route on TR from the anchors at the top of the two climbs it lies between, but I've never seen it listed in a guidebook.It's worth mentioning though, as the crux move, a single high-step with marginal holds, make the climb worth doing, especially since you already have the TR set up from the other routes.The area where the move is can be seen in the photo as the light ar...[more] Browse More Classics in California

I've climbed on OBS several times. I think it's a fun place to climb. great for beginners, and offers something for more advanced climbers also.
