  • Description

The direct start of the Original Route is a bold run out crimpy/slabby face, that links into the Original Route. Due to the historic nature of this route the antique quarter inch bolts and rusted Leeper hangers have been left in place. Leading this route is not advised, climb at your own risk.

Follow Quarry Trail to mail wall of Cougar Crag West. Climb starts at toe of slab bottom left of Main Wall. 20' down and left of standard start of The Original Route.

7 quick draws. First 3 bolts are old school up to old school midway belay anchors. Continue up Original Route head wall on 3 newer bolts. Bolted anchor.
