These routes are actually on the long slabbish stretch of rock right next to the road and in front pf the Pontok 3 South Face very near campsite 17 and a very short walk....like two minute approach from there.

The so called "Pontok" Mountains are big City Of Rock Idaho like domes but a lot bigger. The granite is mostly very high quality. Four distinct mountain domes sit just above the road to the East of the Gross Spitzkoppe which is only really 100m higher but the routes are shorter on the Pontoks.

It seems easiest to locate the climbs according to the campsite number they are in closest vicinity to. The camping here in the Pontoks and Spitzkoppe is some of the best established climbing camping areas I have ever experienced ANYWHERE. Talk to Eddie or Christine or Benny at the main gate for any camping beta or suggestions.

Frontina's (the local young woman entrepreneur Extraordinaire....her sister Zara may be filling in for her as she has another place in Windhoek!) Bar in town is THE local bar and well worth a visit for the real party experience. The locals here are super friendly.

The free outdoor stone covered shower near the bungalows and cafe is worth a visit in its own right!!
