There are several crags accessible from this parking area, but the name is admittedly a little too general for the specificity of this area. Although the Upper Wiesent Valley has many crags (18 according to, I'm referring to just the 4 (Frankenstüble, Mader Gedenkwand, Rupertuswand and Spaßwand) which are easily accessible from this parking area. Other crags (such as the Aalkorber Wände)are also very easily reached by continuing along the path past these crags.

Getting There

Drive to Nankendorf and continue north towards Plankenfels. After 1.8km you'll arrive at your parking location on the left. Get out and continue walking in the direction of Plankenfels, cross the bridge and take a left towards Aufseß. Cross the next bridge and head left down the trail. Stay on this trail to reach all of the crags in this area.
The parking area is indicated in the GPS Coordinates.

Another hard start, but this boulder is a bit longer than Fettig. After clipping the 2nd bolt you'll stand up and climb much easier ground to the anchor....[more]   Browse More Classics in International
