Compared to the other 5.8 and 5.9 climbs in the Paul's Paradise area, we rated this one 5.9. The first bolt is a bit high, but a hybrid alien can be placed in the lower seam to protect the first moves off the deck.

In agreement with Bruce. This route did touch into 5.9 territory.

BTW, a NEW route has been installed just 8 feet to the right of this one. And, no, its not your crack route Bruce (just in case you were wondering).

Awesome climb with fun moves but an unreasonably high first bolt. Placed a tricam as mental pro in the lower seam but it wouldn't have done much. After the first clip its a blast though. Rock quality on this wall seems a big more haggard than other nearby areas.

Slightly funky, but again as with all the high first bolts on this wall, you don't really need any pro if you can boulder 5.6 like a boss. Flat landing too.
