Description

This is my favorite area to climb so far at Larch. The boulders are strung out along about 200 yards of hillside. The first boulders that are big enough to send aren't that spectacular, but once you get in deep enough, there are some really fun lines, steep and overhanging is the game on the best lines. There is a faint climbers trail from the parking area that heads up the hill and then along bottom of the talus field and then to the boulders. It can take a bit of work to find the best boulders, but the spot on the map should be pretty close to the center of the best ones.
Also, when you are heading up the hill towards the parking spot, there is a 30' cliff on the uphill side. There are multiple highball lines here.

Getting There

Park at the pullout where this map link ends.
Directions to Pullout
Pretty easy access if you have 4x4 abilities. Otherwise, park at the yellow gate at the bottom of the hill and walk in. Its about a 10 min walk. Once you are at the yellow gate, head up the hill on the gravel road. You will pass a newer gravel road and a mud pit on the right side of the road where it starts to flatten out. Continue past. You will then pass an old closed gravel road. Continue up the hill and there will be a road off to the right and a large pullout. Park there. The trail is on the east side of the pullout towards the small hill.
