Description

Squeeze right side of tree at the base of the big corner. Trend a bit right to reach obvious 4-inch wide crack (which forms the top of a long left-leaning diagonal crack). Straight up that to the top.

. ?? project (? 5.11 ?) : Direct start on the face vertically below the top crack has not been done yet as of June 2016.

. . . ? Name of route ? . . .

warning: The rock on and around this route has not been climbed much yet, and much of the rock is still breakable and loose -- so the belayer and other people should stand far away from underneath the climber.

. . . (Lots of vegetation on this rock as of 2016. Be prepared when climbing to navigate around protruding trees and branches, and dealing with holds slippery with grass, lichen, moss, dirt).

Location

On the face just Right of the big Left-facing corner which forms the right edge of the main wall (with a clean center section) of the left side of the Jersey Vols sector.

--> see on these route photos ...

Protection

Top-Roping: Straightforward to set up top anchor with static line. Hike+scramble around the right side to reach the top.

Protection for Trad leading is unknown and likely inadequate.
