Not to start negative (all the best!), in reference to your banner: despite popular opinion and license plate surveys Indian Creek isn't in Colorado.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Let's keep that to ourselves. The license plate census does not lie. Moab is indeed in Colorado.

I don't know if you guys have heard but there is a 'free moab' movement. We're seeking some legislation for colorado to annex south east Utah.

Morgan Patterson · · NH · Joined Oct 2009 · Points: 8,960

So can I get some drill bits, bolts and, hangers from you guys?

Psyched for ice season in Colorado and maybe Michigan this year.

Good luck Whittlesticks

I think it would be best if there were jut an autonomous state of the West Slope/Colorado Plateau. Neither the Wasatch Front nor the Front Range should have any claim on the Creek. I'd still let Boulder keep Rifle, though.

+1, but for the record the WF has more claim than the front range.

hmm camhead you bring up an interesting point that I had not previously considered. I'll pose it to my colleagues perhaps we can come up with a catchy slogan for this autonomous state.

I have no claim on the creek, although it makes for a nice logo! colorado or not the site is about all things trad climbing, and the creek definitely fits the bill.

But wouldn't something like the diamond be a little more symbolic of colorado trad climbing?

Then why not name your website Utah Crack Gear? Who says you have to be located there to name it that? If CCH can get away with being in a different state than their company name, then you can too (joking).

It would be nice if you could get POWER-BOLT SS Hex Head 1/2" stainless 5 piece bolts and sell them for less than the fastener supply stores. Even if a lost leader, if you undercut them and didn't gauge like mountaingear ($24 per bolt!!! LOL), you would get all new routers going to you and being happy to get their gear from you. The price that mountaingear tries to get pisses me off so much I don't like to buy anything from them.

You should have it so that when I click on the banner, I go back to the home page. That seems intuitive and is possible on most sites.

I think the banner looks cool, but it is weird that an Eldo based company has chosen Indian Creek as the feature image of their website.

Good luck!

Everyone knows Indian Creek is the best crag in Colorado.

Drew Whitley · · Dolores, CO · Joined Apr 2006 · Points: 95

Ok I have changed my header image to something more eldorado friendly!

Mike Stearns · · Unknown Hometown · Joined May 2007 · Points: 1,607

I think that Eldo image is fantastic and the site looks great. Again, best wishes.

I also liked the stylized IC panorama. Some might not like the idea, but I think a rotating banner and theme would be cool. Switching between a bunch of photogenic areas known for classic trad lines like Lumpy (Twin Owls or Sundance Buttress), Vedauwoo, Devil's Tower, Needles, etc?

Obviously ignore the mob advice if it doesn't suit you. Don't let the MP community bully you into poor business decisions. But then again, we are the consumers ; )
