Description Suggest change

NE Ridge 5.3 ** (7 pitches)
Follow the long broken ridge between "The Pope" (on the Canadian border) and Cathedral Peak. Each pitch has a move or two of (old school) 5.3 and some scrambling. 400' below the summit cross a dike (crux sections are on the next 2 short pitches).

A final airy (rope may be welcome) 4th class scramble leads to the summit. Descend down the regular "walk-up" route to the West (a short rappel may be desirable getting off the summit ridge).

Location Suggest change

Scramble up the grassy SE slope from the main (Boundary) Trail to join the ridge.

Walk off to the West.

Protection Suggest change

Light rack of nuts and several long slings.
