Muscatatuck County Park Rock Climbing
Sometimes when you are short you need to find that...
Secluded limestone bouldering and toprope crag. One of the very few legal places to climb in Indiana. Not a world class destination, but it has some cool problems and its one of the few Indiana climbing choices.
About and hour and a half south of Indianapolis. From I-65, take the Hwy 50 exit and take 50 east for roughly 13 miles. Once you hit IN3/IN7, turn right and the entrance to the park is shortly down the road on your right. Follow the signs to the vinegar mill parking area. Park there and go down the stone steps. Climbing areas begin at the bottom of the steps.

Paul, I'd love to see some pictures and see more of the routes on here. I climbed here once years ago and had a great time. I find this would be a much easier to manage guide than the Muscatatuck website thing. Thank you for your additions dude.

My son and I are going to be passing through Indiana this July on our quest to climb in all 50 states... Can anyone recommend the best place to go for a day of climbing? Preferably leading (sport or trad) bouldering or top-roping ok, too.

Unfortunately, pretty much all rock climbing is illegal in Indiana. They get away with it at Muscatuck Park by registering it as an Extreme Sports Park.
