You might try "Tall Wall." A bunch of easy to moderate (5.6-5.9) well-bolted slab routes with a fairly straightforward approach. The routes are generally two pitches (to avoid heinous rope drag) and have a great view of the upper areas of Lemmon.

most of the good multipitch is up near the summit, which i believe is more or less off limits this time of year (road closed due to snow, maybe falcon closures at some point). however, there's a classic 2-pitch 5.7 at windy point called "slippery when wet" that you might try. there are also some other good easy/moderate single-pitch climbs in the windy point area that you could do afterward. if he's really new, you might try hitchcock's pinnacle. newbies love that one.

there are also a couple of good 2-pitch 5.8s at the rupley towers, but if he has no experience at all then he probably won't be able to follow those.

tall wall is pretty high on the mountain and therefore cold this time of year but if it's an especially warm and sunny day then go for it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
